How to keep tile from staining from a flood or water loss.

Ceramic tiles are great to have in the laundry room. They are easy to clean and will not mold if they get wet. However, they can have staining and grout damage if they are not properly taken care of. Flood water can tarnish and stain tiles if they are not well maintained. Here are some tile maintenance tips:

• Always clean up messes on tile immediately
• Clean at least once a week with disinfectant
• Steam clean often as it will penetrate grout
• Seal tile and grout once a year to keep dirt and bacteria from staining and pitting
