What is the best way to get rid of odor after a fire?

1. Make sure the property has been released by the fire department and is safe for entry. 

2. Contact SERVPRO of Geauga County and they will send out a specialized team member to start assessing the job. 

3. Begin the cleaning and deodorization process. In most cases, water will have to be extracted and drying equipment will have to be put in place. There are different kinds of equipment that are used to start cleaning up after strong odors. 

4. Once everything is clean and removed, deodorization will take care of the last of the odor. Then the rebuild process can begin.
